About University
National University of Sciences and Technology NUST was established in March 1991. The first college to be affiliated with NUST was MCS in 1992. In 1993, the university was granted a charter and CEME and MCE became part of the university.[4] In December 1994 and November 1995, CAE and PNEC became constituents of NUST respectively. All the constituent colleges were upgraded and MS programmes were started at CAE in September 1997. In 1998, MS programmes were started at PNEC and in the same year, Bachelor of Dental Surgery was started at AMC. In 1999, CEME and CAE attained ISO 9001 Certification, the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences (SEECS) was launched in Islamabad and NUST Business School (NBS, formerly known as NIMS) was established.[5] School of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering (SMME) offers degrees in Mechanical and Biomedical Engineering and is one of the most competitive engineering schools in Pakistan.

Eligibility Criteria
Admission Requirement
- Candidates having HSSC with Mathematics as one of the major subject will be eligible to apply for Computing Programmes (BS Computer Science, BS Data Science, BS Bioinformatics and BS Artificial Intelligence)
- Candidates with FSc Pre-Medical / equivalent qualification enrolled in Computing Programmes without taking additional math exam have to clear deficient Mathematics courses of 6 credit hours, within one year.
- In light of PEC regulation No. PEC/EAD/46-VCCM/Regulations/2023 dated 30 March 2023, students having combination of Physics, Mathematics and Computer Studies / Computer Science (ICS) or equivalent are eligible to apply for admission in all the Engineering programmes with a condition to clear Chemistry as a remedial subject / course in the 1st Semester after admission.
- Foreign nationals (Non Pakistani) can also apply on the basis of NET in addition to ACT/SAT basis. For details, please visit International Students.
- As per HEC directive, all candidates including Matric / FA / FSc Stream have to get their educational documents attested from Inter Boards Coordination Commission (IBCC), Pakistan before submitting the same to university at time of admission.
