Financial Need Cum Merit Basis is a scholarship or financial aid model that considers both a student's demonstrated financial need and their academic or other achievements (merit). It is a holistic approach used to determine eligibility and the amount of aid awarded, ensuring that support goes to high-achieving students who also require financial assistance.

Awarded to eligible candidates as per policy, subject to a minimum of 2.5 GPA

Students can follow these general steps to apply for the Need-Cum-Merit scholarship: Obtain the form: Download the Financial Assistance Form from the university's official website. Submit documentation: The completed form must be submitted to the Directorate of Student Affairs (DSA) along with supporting documents, including salary slips or other income certificates for family members. Review by committee: A Financial Assistance Committee will process the applications and recommend the amount of aid based on the student's financial circumstances and academic record. Verification: Applicants must sign an undertaking stating that the information provided is accurate and that they are not receiving other financial assistance. The university has the right to discontinue the assistance if a student's GPA falls below the required minimum.
