The Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB) is a public sector university in Bahawalpur, Pakistan. It was originally founded as Jamia Abbasia in 1925 by His Highness Nawab Sir Sadiq Muhammad Khan Abbasi-V and became a chartered university in 1975 under the Islamia University of Bahawalpur Act. The university operates across seven campuses and offers more than 300 academic programs through 135 departments. With around 1,800 faculty members, including over 550 PhDs, IUB provides quality education and research in diverse fields such as health sciences, agriculture, business, computing, engineering, arts, law, pharmacy, and veterinary sciences.
